Our Journey
AquaCORTEX was born from a simple observation: while agriculture was experiencing a digital revolution, aquaculture — the world's fastest-growing food production sector — remained largely trapped in analog management practices.
Our founders, with backgrounds spanning AI research, marine biology, and aquaculture operations, recognized that the industry didn't need another point solution or standalone sensor. What was missing was a unified operating system — a biological AI brain that could orchestrate every aspect of farm operations while remaining accessible to farmers of all scales.
Starting with pilot deployments in Southeast Asia in 2020, we've grown to serve thousands of farmers across 12 countries. Every deployment teaches us something new, every market reveals unique challenges, and every farmer partnership makes our technology smarter and more accessible.
